Enable Shopper Notifications
How merchants can set up checkout notifications for shoppers.

New Dashboard Notice

Bolt has launched a new Merchant Dashboard experience. See this corresponding page for help documentation that reflects the Legacy Dashboard.

Please note that Legacy Dashboard documentation may no longer have up to date information on our newest features and releases.

Checkout Notifications enable merchants to keep shoppers informed about their order status, abandoned carts, and any additional actions they may need to take.

How to Manage Notifications

Use the following sections to manage email and SMS notifications sent to shoppers.

Abandoned Cart Notifications

  1. Log into your Bolt Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Checkout > Shopper Notifications.
  3. Scroll to Abandoned Cart Notifications.
  4. Toggle on First Abandoned Cart Email to enable.

You can disable this feature at any time.

Shopper Notifications

  1. Log into your Bolt Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Checkout > Shopper Notifications.
  3. Scroll to General Shopper Notifications.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Update the following fields:
    • Transaction email notifications: Enables emails sent by Bolt for order confirmation, refund, and void.
    • Use your support email: Displays merchant’s support email address instead of Bolt’s.
  6. Save.
