The New

Shoppers of merchants using Bolt Accounts, who only have an email address associated with their Bolt Account, are now asked to enter and verify their phone number after they are correctly identified via their email address. This new step further secures their Bolt Account and provides an additional method for identity verification and account management.

Modal to verify shopper's phone number

There is nothing a merchant needs to do to implement this, as long as they have properly implemented the Authorization component.
