How to issue refunds for BigCommerce.

Standard Orders

BigCommerce operations are natively supported for Bolt merchants who use Bolt as their online payment method. See BigCommerce’s documentation on performing a refund.

Backend Orders (via API)

When processing a refund for backend orders, you may encounter either of the following options in BigCommerce:

  • Bolt (Refund transaction processed external to BigCommerce)
  • Refund customer through third party provider

If the option to process a refund mentions Bolt, select it. If there is no option that mentions Bolt, select Refund customer through third party provider.
