Test Card Reference

You can use the following card numbers to simulate scenarios in a sandbox. The available test cards used vary depending on the processor or gateway set up with your merchant account.

INFO

  • The full card number needs to match for post-authorization processes.
  • Only the last 4 digits are used in pre-authorization rejections.
  • Any card that ends in 0001 or 0002 will be rejected in pre-authorization.

Generic Test Cards

When testing specific flows in sandbox, use the generic test cards. These work with any payment services provider (PSP) and any flow type:

  • Expiration: Any month/year in the future
  • CVV: Any 3 digits
  • Type: Visa

Alternate card numbers are best for merchants who onboarded with Bolt Payments after 11/1/2022. If you’re not sure which set of numbers to use, contact your customer success manager.

Additional Testing Resources by PSP

Most PSPs offer their own test cards; however, Bolt cannot guarantee the effectiveness of third-party test cards. We recommend that you use our generic test cards.
