Before You Start Merchants must have a pre-existing relationship with Affirm before setting up this payment method. If you don’t have an Affirm account yet, click Get Affirm. Obtain Affirm Keys INFO To set up Affirm for a sandbox environment, log into the Sandbox Affirm dashboard to access the sandbox API keys. Go to the Affirm Merchant Portal. Retrieve your API keys: Public API Key Private API Key Add Affirm to Bolt Checkout Log in to the Bolt Merchant Dashboard. Navigate to Settings > Payments. Find Alternative Payment Methods and click Add Affirm. Provide the following keys: Affirm Public Key Affirm Private Key Define default division settings: Currency: Select the allowed currency. Min Transaction Amount: Enter the minimum allowed transaction amount. Max Transaction Amount: Enter the maximum allowed transaction amount. Capture Payment: Enter either Immediately or Manually. To enable Affirm in checkout immediately, set the Enable in Checkout toggle to on . If you aren’t ready to make Affirm visible yet, leave this toggle off . Select Add Affirm. Manage Division Settings After you link your Affirm account, configure how Affirm works for each division. Log in to the Bolt Merchant Dashboard. Navigate to Settings > Payments. Find Alternative Payment Methods and click Manage Affirm. Adjust the division settings and click Update. Switch or Disconnect Affirm Account Follow the steps in Switch or Disconnect Account. Sandbox Testing Refer to Affirm’s documentation on sandbox testing. Enable Partial Captures (Optional) To enable partial captures for payments made with Affirm, contact your Affirm representative and request that they enable this feature.
