New Dashboard Notice

Bolt has launched a new Merchant Dashboard experience. See this corresponding page for help documentation that reflects the Legacy Dashboard.

Please note that Legacy Dashboard documentation may no longer have up to date information on our newest features and releases.

How to Integrate with Rocketgate

Step 1: Obtain Rocketgate Keys

  1. Go to your Mission Control account. Merchant Account
  2. Locate the following keys for use in a later step:
    • Merchant ID: Navigate to Admin > Merchant Accounts > click the merchant name. Copy the value in Merchant ID.
    • Gateway Password: Navigate to Admin > Merchant Details > Merchant Options (gear icon). Copy the value in GatewayPassword.

Optional: Obtain Merchant Account Key

If your Rocketgate merchant ID includes multiple merchant accounts, also locate the following key for use in a later step:

  • Merchant Account: Navigate to Admin > Merchant Accounts > click the account name. Copy the value in Merchant Account ID.

Step 3: Add Keys and Edit Payment Settings

  1. Log into the Bolt Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Payments.
  3. Click Set Up Rocketgate.
  4. Add the following Rocketgate keys:
    • Rocketgate Merchant ID
    • Rocketgate Merchant Password
    • Optional: Rocketgate Account
  5. Click Next.
  6. Edit the default payment settings to customize how processing works.
  7. Click Complete Setup.

Step 4: Configure Rocketgate Risk Settings

For payments made with a card saved to a shopper’s account, Bolt does not transmit CVV match data to processors. To configure risk settings so the lack of this data does not trigger auto-declines:

Contact your Rocketgate representative to allow transactions without CVV data.

With Fraud Protection

Bolt’s fraud detection engine uses advanced risk signals to protect your business from fraud. Because Bolt checkout doesn’t require shoppers to enter a billing address, Address Verification System (AVS) mismatch settings often trigger automatic declines on transactions from real shoppers with an otherwise low risk score.

Contact your Rocketgate representative to allow all transactions where the shipping and billing address do not match.

Without Fraud Protection

Contact your fraud solutions provider to inform them that payments transmitted via this processor will not provide CVV match information.

Step 5: Set Up Chargeback Notifications

Set up your communication preferences in Rocketgate to receive digital notifications for new chargebacks. This ensures that you have enough time to submit the dispute and respond with evidence.

Test Integration

Place test orders with each acquiring bank to ensure that the integration is working as intended and AVS and CVV auto-declines are disabled.
