Enable Shopper Notifications
How merchants can set up checkout notifications for shoppers.

Checkout Notifications enable merchants to keep shoppers informed about their order status, abandoned carts, and any additional actions they may need to take.

How to Manage Notifications

Use the following sections to manage email and SMS notifications sent to shoppers.

Abandoned Cart Notifications

  1. Log into your Bolt Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Checkout.
  3. Scroll to Abandoned Cart Emails.
  4. Enable.

You can disable this feature at any time.

Shopper Notifications

  1. Log into your Bolt Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Checkout.
  3. Scroll to Shopper Notification Settings.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Update the following fields:
    • Enable email notifications: Enables emails sent by Bolt for order confirmation, refund, and void.
    • Disable rejection emails: Disables fraudulent order rejection emails sent to shoppers by Bolt.
    • Use your support email in rejection and micro-auth notifications: Displays merchant’s support email address instead of Bolt’s.
    • Enable order in review emails: Sends shoppers an email alert when their order is put on-hold, requiring verification. This is typically used along with micro-authorization to speed up order approval when extra validation is required.
  6. Save.
