Bolt uses one-time codes, sent via email or SMS (text message), to verify your identity. You do not need to create a username or password to access your Bolt account.
SMS
Logging in through SMS (text message) is the default method.
- Fill your cart with items you wish to purchase.
- Navigate to checkout.
- When proceeding to checkout, Bolt will recognize you as an existing user, and will automatically send a verification code to your phone.
- Input this code when prompted.
- Complete the remainder of the checkout process.
Don’t have your phone on you? No problem!

- Select Email me the code.
- When prompted, input the code sent to your inbox.

- If this is your first time logging in via email verification, Bolt may ask you to confirm your phone number. This is a one-time check that we do to make sure it’s really you. Next time you check out with Bolt, you won’t have to do this step again.
