Verify Identity
Learn how to complete the identity verification process.

The identity verification is required by financial regulators. Once completed, you can get access to Bolt financial products and connect a bank to your Bolt account.

1. Start Verification

  • Log in to Bolt Finance SuperApp.

  • On the Home screen, tap Bank/Card.

  • Enter your phone number.

  • Enter the verification code sent to your phone.

  • Tap Let’s verify and Continue.

2. Upload ID

  • Tap Begin verifying.
  • Choose your ID type:
    • Driver License
    • State ID
    • Passport
    • Municipal ID
    • Passport Card
    • Permanent Resident Card
  • Place the front of your ID in the frame to take a photo. The app takes the photo automatically.
  • If required, take a photo of the back of your ID.
  • Tap Use this photo to proceed or Retake photo to try again.

3. Complete Facial Verification

  • Tap Get started.
  • Take three selfies:
    • Front
    • Left
    • Right
  • Tap Continue.

4. Fill In Information

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Birthdate
  • Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Employer name
  • Occupation
  • Industry
  • Citizenship
  • Expected Monthly Deposits
  • Expected Monthly Withdrawals
  • Purpose of Account
  • Annual Income
  • Phone number
  • Street address
  • Apartment / Suite (optional)
  • City
  • State
  • Postal Code

5. Provide Proof of Address

If the document you used for identity verification does not show your current address, you may be asked to upload a proof of address.

Accepted documents include:

  • Utility bill
  • Bank statement
  • Mortgage or property tax document

To submit your proof of address:

  • Tap Upload if the document is stored on your device, or tap the Camera button to take a photo.
  • Review the scan:
    • Tap Retake to try again.
    • Tap Keep Scan to proceed.
  • Tap Save and Submit to complete the upload.

6. Complete Verification

  • Tap Continue, then Done.

Important:

  • Once vericiation process is complete, you will recieve a push notification if notifications are enabled.
  • Applications may not be approved due to incomplete information, verification issues, or eligibility requirements.
