Learn how to complete the identity verification process.

Complete Identity Verification

The identity verification is required by financial regulators. Once completed, you can get access to Bolt financial products and connect a bank to your Bolt account.

To verify your account:

  1. Log in to Bolt Finance SuperApp.
  2. On the Home screen, tap the avatar icon in the top-left corner to open your profile.
  3. Within profile, tap Connect a bank.
  4. Enter your phone number to start the verification process.
  5. Enter the verification code sent to your phone.
  6. Tap Next through the Highlights screens until you reach the Let’s verify screen.
  7. On the Let’s verify screen, tap Continue.
  8. On the Gettings started screen, tap Begin verifying.
  9. Upload a photo ID by selecting one of the following document types:
    • Driver License
    • State ID
    • Passport
    • Passport Card
    • Permanent Resident Card
    • Non-Citizen Travel Document
    • Visa
    • Work Permit
  10. Place the front of your ID in the frame to take a photo. The app takes the photo automatically. Note that some document types may also require a photo of the back of your ID.
  11. You can choose to:
    • Retake photo - To try again.
    • Use this photo - To proceed with the upload.
  12. Once your document photo is processed, the app displays the Let’s make sure you are you screen. Tap Get started to proceed. You need to take three selfies: from the front, left, and right sides.
  13. After processing the selfies, the app opens a questionnaire. Fill in your personal information:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Birthdate
    • Social Security Number (SSN)
    • Employer name
    • Occupation
    • Industry
    • Citizenship
    • Expected Monthly Deposits
    • Expected Monthly Withdrawals
    • Purpose of Account
    • Annual Income
    • Phone number
    • Street address
    • Apartment / Suite (optional)
    • City
    • State
    • Postal Code

A valid Social Security Number (SSN) is required to complete the verification process. Without it, your account cannot be verified.

  1. Tap Continue to proceed.
  2. Tap Done to complete the verification process.

Important:

  • The verification takes up to three business days. Once the account is verified, you will receive an email update.
  • Applications may not be approved due to incomplete information, verification issues, or eligibility requirements. If you believe there was a mistake, please reach out to our support team at compliance@bolt.com.
