2. Test Quick Checkout

Use the following steps after you have set up and enabled Quick Checkout.

Prerequisites

  • Quick Checkout has been installed on your storefront
  • You have access to a registered Bolt Account in both your production and sandbox environment

How to Test Quick Checkout

Checkout

  1. Navigate to your storefront.
  2. Place an item in the cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout.
  4. Enter an email address that is associated with a Bolt Account (or create an account). A modal appears.
  5. Input the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the account’s email address.
  6. Select Place Order.
  7. Navigate to one of the following shopper dashboards:
  8. Scroll to My Orders to confirm the order has been placed.

Testing in production requires a working credit card. If testing in production, remember to refund the transaction.

Add a New Card

  1. Navigate to your storefront.
  2. Place an item in the cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout.
  4. Enter an email address that is associated with a Bolt Account. A modal appears.
  5. Input the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the account’s email address.
  6. Select Add a New Card.
  7. Input the credit card details.
  8. Select Place Order.
  9. Navigate to one of the following shopper dashboards:
  10. Scroll to My Orders to confirm the order has been placed.

Edit Ship To Address

  1. Navigate to your storefront.
  2. Place an item in the cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout.
  4. Enter an email address that is associated with a Bolt Account. A modal appears.
  5. Input the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the account’s email address.
  6. Navigate to the Ship To section.
  7. Select the Edit icon ✏️.
  8. Provide another shipping address.
  9. Navigate to one of the following shopper dashboards:
  10. Scroll to My Orders to confirm the order has been placed.

Input Discount Code

If discount codes are enabled, perform the following test:

  1. Navigate to your storefront.
  2. Place an item in the cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout.
  4. Enter an email address that is associated with a Bolt Account. A modal appears.
  5. Input the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the account’s email address.
  6. Expand Apply Discount Code.
  7. Input a working discount code.
  8. Navigate to the Order Summary section.
  9. Validate the discount amount and type has been correctly applied.
