About Passkeys
Passkeys are a secure, biometric-based sign-in method that allows you to access your Bolt Shopper Account using facial recognition or a fingerprint, instead of a password or one-time code. Your biometric data remains on your personal device and is never shared with Bolt.
INFO
Currently, new passkeys can only be created from a mobile device. However, you can manage your passkeys from any device.
Create Passkey
- From any mobile device, sign in your Bolt Shopper Account.
- Go to Account Settings, then Passkeys.
- Tap + Create Passkey.
- Follow your mobile device instructions and select your preferred method of authentication.
After setup, you will see a list of your created passkeys, including the device operating system and the date of creation.
Use Passkeys
Once you have created a passkey, you can use it to sign in to your account during checkout on Bolt merchant websites:
- Enter your email address at checkout.
- When prompted, authenticate using the method stored in your passkey.
Note: Not all merchants support passkeys.
You can use passkeys on any device from the same provider. For example, Apple users can use a passkey created on an iPhone to sign in on a MacBook.
Delete Passkeys
- From any mobile device or computer, sign in to your Bolt Shopper Account.
- Go to Account Settings, then Passkeys.
- Tap the delete icon next to the passkey you want to remove.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deleting a passkey will remove access for that device and sign you out of all sessions and devices, including the one you are using.
